Mail from Germany
Last year my school had its very first foreign exchange student. It was a girl from Germany who was in my grade. Her name was Gina. Yesterday in chapel, Mr. Kinlaw (the administrator) revealed that Gina had sent him a letter with the request that it be read in chapel. So it was. She told us how happy she was to have been here last year, how much the teachers here care about us (apparently teachers don't care about their students where she comes from...at least, not as much), how much like a family it was here (with it being such a small school, though, it would be difficult for it not to seem that way.), and how she wishes certain students could come visit her in Germay (my friend Amanda being one of them.) She also wrote a short note to two students in particular. Those students are two new foreign exchange students that we have this year. Johanna is from Switzerland and Elin is fron Denmark. Gina left them a note saying she hoped they enjoy their time here and warning them about our crazy Florida weather. We all though it was great that she's still thinking about us and even the new students, who never met Gina, thought it was sweet of her. She promised to send us more letters.

Homecoming Game and Dance and teachers who can't draw.
As I already mentioned, Friday was Homecoming. We played at Ed White against P.K. Younge (I think that's how it's spelled) and won 24-20. At halftime they announced the members of Homecoming Court and we found out that my friend Annie was chosen to be Homecoming Queen. I'm so happy for her. Then, later that night was the Homecoming Dance. It was awesome. Everyone looked nice. Paul and David were dressed up in t-shirts and shorts (we aren't really required to dress up for the dance, though most people do) although Paul was wearing a rather stylish gray scarf....the excuse he gave me was something about famous people wearing scarves...or something like that.
Anyway, Everyone who has had Mrs. Dixon as a teacher knows that she's not the world's best drawer, but she still draws pictures when she needs to illustrate a point she's trying to make. Today we were starting to take notes on stuff to do with planetary orbits and she drew an ellipse (type of orbit planets have) with a huge dot to represent the sun as one focal point and another much smaller dot as the other and a medium sized dot on the ellipse to represent a planet in orbit and a "V" shape to connect the two foci and everyone said it looked like bird with one massively dilated eye and a musket ball in its head.It looked something like this:

That's just a crude replica I made using Paint, but you get the idea. Everyone makes fun of her drawings, though she doesn't take it personally because she knows we're not trying to hurt her feelings.

Spirit Day and Homecoming.
Today is a momentous day. Spirit Day! I'm sad that Spirit Week is almost over. It feels like this week has dragged by. But, today is the Homecoming game and dance. Game starts at 7 and the Dance starts at 10. I'm going back to school later to help set up for it. Can't wait! Later.

Holiday Day, From the cradle to the grave day, and Homecoming King competition.
Ok, so, yesterday's theme was Holiday Day. People went all out with that one. There were several santas (Mr. Wheeler was the best santa there!), My friend Cassidy did her hair like that of Cindy-Lou Who (and it actually stayed like that all day!), Stewart actually wore a bunny suit (if you knew him you would not find this at all strange.) There were lots of other cool outfits that I can't even remember, so, moving on....
Today's theme was "From the Cradle to the Grave." You either dressed up as a young'un, or an old timer. My friend Megan did her hair in littlegirlish curls and looked really cute. My friend Jake stuffed a pillow in his shirt to imitate a beer gut and had a hat on. Several people borrow canes and walkers from old folks they know, and some put powder in their hair to make it look gray. Everyone loved this one.
And tonight was the night. We now know who the Homecoming King of Eagle's View Academy is for this year. It was tough. There was blood, sweat, and tears. Many of us will never be the same. But, the Homecoming King for this year is...*drumroll*...Colby Wright! I, of course, went to the competition because two of my friends were participating. David of course would be eliminated in the first round *rolls eyes* and his stunt double (and by stunt double I mean twin) Paul got eliminated in the third round. After Paul and David got eliminated I started cheering for Stewart (same one who wore the bunny suit). I'm kinda disappointed that he didn't win. He was certainly the most enthusiastic. All the same, it was fun. Got to sit with some friends, found a nickel on one of the bleachers, had a good night. And a good night to y'all....

Spirit Week and Nerd Day.
Ok, so this week at my school is Spirit Week (the week leading up to Homecoming.) Today was Nerd Day and boy did some people go all out. Some people (not saying any names *coughPaulcough*) didn't need to dress for the occasion. In chapel they got everyone who dressed out for Nerd Day get up on the stage for a picture (for the yearbook no doubt). It was great. Anyway, 'til tomorrow!

November and Warriors.
Wow! I can't believe it's already November! November is always weird for me, it's that month in between my birthday and Christmas. Anyone else feel that way?
Anywho, only 22 days until Night Whispers is released. Anyone else love Warriors? Also, I can't wait to find out the release date for the sequel to Dragongirl (it might already have been anounced but if it was, I haven't seen it.)
Well, that it for now. 'Bye all!
